Vyapar runs on a computer as well as on your phone. This guide covers installing it on a Windows PC or laptop and attaching the desktop licence you paid for, using the steps from Vyapar’s own help pages.
Before you start
- Windows version: Vyapar says it works on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, and runs on low-spec computers.
- Mac: Vyapar says it is compatible with Mac too.
- Internet: needed to download, log in and attach a licence. After that, Vyapar supports offline billing that syncs later.
- Your login: keep the mobile number or email you signed up with handy, for the OTP.
Install Vyapar on your computer
- Open Vyapar’s billing software for PC page and download the Windows installer.
- Open the setup file from your Downloads folder and install it.
- Log in with your phone number.
- Add your business details and start using Vyapar.

Attach your desktop licence
If you bought a Desktop or Desktop + Mobile plan, attach the licence to this computer so the paid features unlock. Vyapar’s licence guide gives these steps:
- Open Vyapar on your computer.
- Open the left menu and select Plans & Pricing.
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Click Attach License.
- Enter the mobile number or email you used to buy the plan, and click Login.
- Enter the OTP (or your password).
- Choose your licence code from the list.
- Click Change to this device.
- Wait for the “License Attached Successfully” message in the top-right corner.
Things to know
- A desktop licence works only on computers, not on phones. For both, choose a Desktop + Mobile plan.
- “Change to this device” moves the licence, which is handy when you replace an old computer.
